The Emperor of All Clothes is finally here and we can all now officially wear them.
Today, the company that has inspired iconic images from all of the pop culture icons from Star Wars to The Wire to Star Trek will finally be making its way into the fashion world.
The Emperor was originally created by Japanese artist Kenji Mizoguchi in 1968 as a way for Japanese artists to make money and to be recognized in the media.
The line was discontinued in 2010 after it was found that it was not as lucrative as Mizogumi hoped.
In 2016, the line was resurrected as a fashion brand owned by the Emperor’s grandson, Yoshitomo Mizogu.
The Emperor’s new Clothes collection features a range of new items including the new Emperor T-shirt, the Emperor pants, the new “Frozen” dress, the newest Emperor shoes, the brand new “Empire” sweatshirt, the classic “Eternal” t-shirt and more.
While there is still no word on the Emperor brand’s next release, the iconic t-shirts will be available to purchase starting on March 25.
We can’t wait to get our hands on these new designs and we’re looking forward to seeing the new designs worn by our favorite celebs.
