Boohoo CEO Chris Buesch explains that, as with any good thing, there are two ways to give: you can give it away or you can pay for it with your own money.
To give, you can simply click on the ‘Give Now’ button, but you can also choose to pay with credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, or debit card.
The donation campaign will run from October 1st to October 14th, with donations totalling $150,000, with proceeds split between the charity and its members.
“There are a number of ways you can donate.
There’s a donation page for every person in the community that you’re interested in,” Buesich told New Scientist.”
You can just click on a button, and you’ll see a donation amount.
Or you can go through our ‘Donate Now’ page.
Or just click a button on the site, and it’ll ask you to donate your funds, and there you go.”
Boohood, which runs clothing donations through the charity’s membership, will give away items at a rate of 10 per cent of the total donation amount, meaning a donation of $10,000 is equal to $100.
Buesch said the charity was particularly excited to be supporting Boohoots “family of brands”.
“Our mission is to support and promote the Boohmoot family of brands, who we’ve been very fortunate to work with and who are doing really well,” he said.
“The Boohmoots are not only one of the world’s leading brands, but they’re also the biggest charity in our community.”
Boesch said he had “thousands of emails” from people interested in donating clothing, with over 600 donations being made in less than 24 hours.
“That was a lot of fun, and I’ve got to say, the response was incredible,” he added.
“They’re really passionate about their cause and are very dedicated to helping people in their community.”
We’re delighted that the Booohoo community is interested in being a part of this, and we’re very proud to be able to support them.
“Buesach explained that Boohooks main goal was to create “a place where people can feel like they’re making a difference”.”
Boos clothing donations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. “
It’s not just about a donation, it’s about a community, and that’s what this campaign is all about.”
Boos clothing donations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
Buesach says there is a limit of just 100,000 pieces of clothing each month, but if people can’t donate enough clothing to cover the cost of their monthly donation, they can donate more items of clothing.
The Booohmoot Clothing donation will run for a period of 12 months, starting from October 2nd and ending on October 14.
Boes ch said Boohoos membership will be a “huge advantage” for Boohos charity and Boohops success.
“I think the Boomhoot is a great example of how we’re working together to be a catalyst for change,” he concluded.
